KUALA LUMPUR, May 1 Lembah Pantai MP Fahmi Fadzil will be called in for questioning over his attendance during the solidarity protest for graphic artist and activist Fahmi Reza Mohd Zarin on April 24.
He confirmed that the police have summoned him to be present at Dang Wangi district police headquarters at 11am on Tuesday (May 4).
“This is concerning my presence in front of IPD Dang Wangi on April 24, the day of the remand hearing for @kuasasiswa,” Fahmi said on Twitter, using Fahmi Reza’s username.

KUALA LUMPUR, April 24 Local graphic artist Mohd Fahmi Reza Mohd Zarin wrote a personal note while being held overnight at the Dang Wangi police lock-up over a satirical playlist of songs on the Spotify app, defending satire as part of the freedom of expression.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysia Police confirmed receiving a report against the owner of Fahmi Reza’s Facebook account for allegedly insulting the Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.
Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Huzir Mohamed said the case was being investigated by the Classified Criminal Investigation Unit, Prosecution and Law Division (D5) under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act 1948 and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
He said police would submit a remand application against the suspect today.
