Kerala Blasters boss Kibu Vicuna feels his team s 1-1 draw against East Bengal on Friday is a result that is hard to accept.
The Yellow Army took the lead through Jordan Murray in the 64th minute and looked likely to take all three points. However, Scott Neville scored from a corner-kick in added time to level the scoreline and share the spoils.
After the game, Vicuna said, It was difficult because we had three points and in the end, we lost two. In the second half, they had the ball more than us but they did not get any clear chance. We had the best chances and we scored one. We almost had three points. It was a hard moment because for us it was important to win two games in a row and climb up the league table.
The winning coach of the evening, Kerala Blasters
Kibu Vicuna: I am very happy with result. It was a very difficult game for us. We played 20 minutes with one man less and we saw character from the player. I am very happy for the supporters and the players.
[If this is his best starting XI] We have different possibilities. Tonight we thought that it was the best line up we can show with Gary and Jordan up front and two lines of 4. It was a good result. We will see if we can use the same players and formation in the next game.

So, Odisha FC stays at the bottom of the table despite its first victory of the season, with five points from nine matches. Meanwhile, Kerala Blasters FC remains at tenth position as well, with six points from the same number of games.
KBFC manager Kibu Vicuna: First, I want to say sorry to the Kerala Blasters fans because our performance tonight wasn t good enough. After this match, it s very difficult to feel good about the work we are doing. Especially after the second goal, we turned off. They (Odisha FC) won every second ball and dominated us on the field. It is very difficult to analyse this game because we have very few positives to take. I don t like excuses, and I m completely responsible for tonight. I ve always believed in my players and I was completely satisfied with the recruitment done in the summer. We have to work together to overcome this slump.
