Fanning the flames. What can the government do? we talked again about the issues china is facing. Short of these stimulus packages, we don t know a great deal about where the money is being spent. Would you be looking for in order to try and turn this future is around? one of the big issues is the banking system is huge in china, it is loaded with bad debts. It s been forced to lend to bad projects for so long so the first thing to do is rescue the banks of this is something that the fed did after the financial crisis. Instead of giving them more money to lend and using that money to set up a fund, buy from them all of the bad assets and let them go back to a clean balance sheet and start over. The government can hold this bad debt, bad property investments for a very long time but the banks need to have better capital to start lending again and you need to stop forcing them to lend only to state owned enterprises which are not profitable and bad projects, bad infrastructure projects w
Could afford to ease up a little bit, right . And they might have done that if the fundraiser were just for them but theyre not just running clinton for president and kaine for Vice President. They dont want to just win the white house. They want democrats to win governorships and control of congress or to get as close as they can. They obviously want democrats to get control of the senate. For the Clinton Kaine campaign, it is pedal to the metal from now till the end. 41 fundraisers from now until november 3rd. He had five today alone. He squeezed me in between them. Thats on the democratic side. On the republican side, its nothing like that at all. Mateo gold at the Washington Post reports tonight that the comparable fundraiser effort on the republican side is already over. In fact, it ended last wednesday. The Washington Post reports
tonight that donald trump did his last big dollar joint fundraiser for his campaign in the Republican National Committee Last wednesday and hes not goi
Benefiting the most are not High Frequency voters. Thats huge. Their benefit is needed, i think. Thanks for joining us tonight. Thats all in for this evening. Make sure to stick around because its veep night on msnbc. Rachel maddow has an exclusive interview with tim kaine and mike pence will join brian williams. That is true. Almost a little weird, but thank you for the preview. It is, in fact, Vice President day here on msnbc. Vice president or would be Vice President day. Chris matthews this afternoon had an interview with our current Vice President of the united states, joe biden. Joe biden is now into a third day of explaining what he meant when he said he wishes he was in high school and he could take donald trump out behind the gym because he wants to get in a fight with him, basically. Donald trump today responded that he, too, would kind of like to go get in a fight with joe
in terms of Clinton Kaine, theyve already outraised trump 21, the New York Times projection as to who i
simple, keep it simple. the white house released security assistance to ukraine only after congress started asking questions why. considering that bolton, giuliani, mulvaney and others may have pertinent firsthand testimony, why won t president trump let them testify? and i believe what he s suggesting is that democrats got too bogged down in the actual policy differences about whether security assistance should go to ukraine and this and that, as opposed to just the message of, this was corrupt, he held it up, and let s bring in the people who know the answer. i agree with him that it should be kept simple. and i think some members did a better job of that than others. i think adam schiff tried at the beginning and at the end to bring it back to the main point here, which is whether the president of the united states should be bribing other countries and holding back military assistance. he tried to bring it back there, at the beginning and the end. others got in the weeds. i do thi
i could get super wonky, but i don t want to, and here is the point, we don t really know how that is factoring in, but the democrats will call it a win if he only loses by five points. and donna, what kind of number does he need to post to have huge national profile and potentially launch a bid for president? everybody has kind of said hold off, see if he can win in texas first. is the potential still there in your view if he loses? look, i think a lot of things are up for grabs on november 7, after all of this is over, and i think if beto can be within that five to seven-point range, i think it does range his prospects. but there are going to be a lot of players on the field for 2020. let s talk about the house for a second. and alfonso, i want to ask you about this. it is the 27th congressional district of florida. this is the miami area district. that went overwhelmingly for hillary clinton. 58.5 to 38.9. currently the republican, maria salazar is leading donna sha y
