KUALA LUMPUR, March 17 Controversial rapper Namewee explained that he decided to return to the country despite the arrest warrant against him because he didn’t see any reason for him to be on the run.
“I have done no wrong, why should I be on the run?” he wrote in a Facebook post.
Namewee, or his real name Wee Meng Chee, is serving his seven-day quarantine after arriving back in Malaysia on Sunday.

KUALA LUMPUR, Mar 15 Malaysian rapper Namewee has returned home and said he will be surrendering himself to the police after completing his seven days quarantine.
In a Facebook post, Namewee, or his real name Wee Meng Chee, said he was taken by Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) police as soon as he passed immigration.
“As I was passing immigration, a red light flashed when I inserted my passport indicating I am a wanted person.

CYBERJAYA, Dec 13 The Malaysian Artistes’ Association (Seniman) has been urged to file a complaint with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) against a film titled
Babi, to enable the agency to evaluate its content.
MCMC in a statement today said the call was made following a police report made by Seniman yesterday against the film which was directed by Wee Meng Chee or Namewee for allegedly having elements of racism that tarnished Malaysia’s image.
