If you are visiting a hawker centre for the first time, how do you decide which chicken rice stall to go for? Is it the photos displayed? How the chicken looks as it is hung up? While that may play some part in our final choice, more often than not, we judge how good a stall is from the length.
When I visited West Coast landed estate, someone suggested that I should also check out Faber Hills, which is sort of opposite West Coast (separated by the expressway.) I was rather intrigued as my mother had worked in West Coast all my life but I’d never heard of or been to Faber Hills! Hence, last week, I decided to trot.
Given the interest in bigger living spaces we’ve seen since 2020, it seemed appropriate to do a series on townhouses in Singapore. I suppose as, like real landed houses, townhouses (and cluster houses) offer more space, but often at lower price tags. In this series, we’ll be covering East, West, North, South & Central Singapore, starting with D5 and D21.
