yes, i take responsibility, then why wouldn t an anchor say what about that, or press her on her argument? gayle: i would disagree with emily. there was nothing news worthy in her book. this would have been the perfect opportunity for journalists to drill down and get something news worthy. they are not doing the democratic party a service. this is the 2012 autopsy where the rnc tried to understand how they lost the election to obama. this would be an opportunity for judy woodruff to drill down on that and get something beyond the talking points hillary clinton repeats ad nauseam. the amount of coverage devoted to comey, everybody knows how they weigh these things. howie: emily, you seem to think
you talk about sexism in the book. do you think it s harder for mayor cans to elect a woman than an african-american man? having through your own political version of the trump ringer, do you have any advice for his staff? this is a man who engages in humiliation and domination as a tactic of control. because of russia s role, do you have think there should be an asterisk next to president trump s name in the history books? i don t know, we don t have all the facts yet. howie: joining us, gayle trotter and emily tisch sussman. jane pauly, rachel maddow would you say have been sympathetic or trying to pin her down.
