Toto Wolff was not in attendance at the Brazilian Grand Prix, a race that proved to be Mercedes' only victory of the 2022 season as well as being George Russell's debut win in F1.
The governing body have moved to clarify their stance on their changes to the International Sporting Code, which declared "political, religious and personal statements" as a breach of their rules.
Changes will be made to tighten up the sporting regulations in case of shortened races to ensure a quirk similar to the conclusion of the Japanese Grand Prix can't be repeated.
