By Will Kriss Jul 13, 2021 | 5:52 PM KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – UPDATE: Tuesday, WWMT reported that charges have been issued against a man involved in a crash that killed a Schoolcraft couple last May. On Tuesday, WWMT reported that charges had been filed against 27-year-old Ezra Phillips of Saginaw. The report said Phillips was driving over 100 miles per hour when he crashed his vehicle into the one driven by the Shaffer couple. Police also said Ezra Phillips was driving under the influence of alcohol when the crash occurred. Phillips now faces six total charges, all of which have been authorized by the Kalamazoo County Prosecutor’s Office:
