A Dunkirk man, stopped on a traffic violation, was found to be in possession of marijuana and cocaine.
Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies reported Saturday they stopped a vehicle on Route 20 in the town of Pomfret for an alleged traffic violation at 11:05 p.m. Dec. 12. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 37-year-old, Ezequiel Torres.
Upon interviewing Torres deputies observed a small amount of marijuana in plain view in the vehicle Torres was operating. Upon further investigation deputies found that Torres was in possession of a small quantity of cocaine. Torres was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, no headlights and no taillights.
