On Monday, the Indians arrived in Chicago to play the White Sox. They lost, 4-3, in the ninth inning when first baseman Yu Chang grabbed a grounder by Nick Williams and threw to second base in an attempt to start an inning-ending double play. Chang’s throw hit catcher Yasmani Grandal in the helmet as he was running from first to second. The ball skipped into left field as pinch-runner Nick Madrigal scored the winning run from second base.
