Renowned Textile Designer Jack Lenor Larsen Dies at 93

Jack Lenor Larsen, the visionary weaver and
Interior Design Hall of Fame member, passed away December 22 at his home in East Hampton, New York. He died of natural causes at age 93 with Peter Olsen, his companion of 30 years, by his side. Larsen not only left an indelible mark on mid-century modernism through his textiles but was also ever curious about how art and design impacted the world. His knowledge and influence extended to the realms of education and culture, and his legacy will continue to live on at LongHouse Reserve, his home and 16-acre not-for-profit nature reserve and sculpture park in East Hampton.

He died peacefully on the evening of December 22, 2020 of natural causes in East Hampton, New York at LongHouse Reserve, the 16-acre garden and arts center that is his legacy. Christmas Eve Drag Show on Thursday. Resident DJ Cesar Hernandez will be in charge of the ones and twos, with local drag queen Poison Ivy Lords acting as the emcee, performing alongside Shanaya Bright, Yesia Jovovich, and Olga Dantelly, all of whom will be serving the Christmas-themed realness. Admission is free, but reservations are strongly encouraged.
