The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas sold in Massachusetts remains at $2.91, according to AAA Northeast, the same as last week.
This week s average is 15 cents higher than a month ago ($2.76), and 93 cents higher than it was at this time a year ago ($1.98).
Massachusetts’ average is 12 cents lower than the national average.
“Holiday road trippers may come across some gas stations with low fuel supply in popular travel destinations, like beaches, mountains or national parks, said Mary Maguire, AAA Northeast s director of public and government affairs, in a statement. However, markets are not expected to be fuel-less, like we saw in the wake of the pipeline shutdown.”
