Industrial Profits Increased by 2 4 Percent in the First Eleven Months of 2020

From January to November, China s industrial enterprises above designated size achieved a total profit of 5,744.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.4 percent (according to the comparable caliber, see Note 2 for details), and the growth rate was 1.7 percentage points higher than that from January to October.   From January to November, among the industrial enterprises above designated size, the total profits of state-owned holding enterprises were 1445.69 billion yuan, down 4.9 percent year on year; the total profits of joint-stock enterprises were 4,058.01 billion yuan, up 2.3 percent; the total profits of foreign-invested enterprises, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan enterprises were 1,610.52 billion yuan, up 4.3 percent; the total profits of private enterprises were 1,733.22 billion yuan, up 1.8 percent.
