KOLKATA: Retaliating BJP’s relentless attack calling him Tolabaj Bhaipo (extortionist nephew), TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee on Sunday exposed a letter written by Sudipta Sen, the Saradha group promoter presently in jail, in a public rally in South 24 Parganas. Abhishek accused former Trinamool Congress strongman Suvendu Adhikari, who joined the BJP, of extorting Rs 6 crore from the chit fund agency.
Brandishing the two-page letter, the Diamond Harbour MP threw a challenge to Suvendu asking him to prove his allegation false. You (Suvendu) do not have guts to utter my name. You talk in the passive voice. I am uttering your name and saying you are an extortionist. You not only took Rs 6 crore from Sudipta Sen, but also blackmailed him. In the letter, is clearly written then the day before he (Sen) went at large, you visited his office and took money from him,’’ alleged Abhishek.

Kolkata, Jan 22: TMC MP and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee s nephew Abhishek Banerjee has sent a legal notice to BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari for making defamatory statements against him by falsely accusing him of being an extortionist during a public meeting of the BJP held at Khejuri on January 19.

The notice stated that if Adhikari doesn t tender an apology in 36 hours, legal proceedings will be initiated.
The notice sent by Banerjee to Adhikari also states that the former Mamata Banerjee confidant is an accused in multiple criminal cases despite which he is questioning the integrity of Abhishek Banerjee without any evidence.

Hooghly/Paschim Medinipur (West Bengal) [India], January 21 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Suvendu Adhikari has said that the party has to work on 70 per cent of the electorate while claiming that poll strategist Prashant Kishor in a recent interview said that the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) has a fixed deposit of the remaining 30 per cent in West Bengal. Kishore who came to give them (TMC) wisdom, says on news channels that we have 100 per cent (votes) on our (TMC) side, BJP has to fight for 70 per cent (votes). Do you understand? They have 30 per cent fixed deposit. Will all 70 per cent come together? We will win, Adhikari said on Wednesday while addressing the supporters after a roadshow in Chandannagar in Hooghly.
