Thursday COVID-19 report: No new cases today; outbreak at Extendicare Kap over SHARE ON: UPDATE AT 3:30pm: Exposure to pre-existing cases of COVID-19 is blamed for the six latest cases by the Porcupine Health Unit.Two of them are in the Hearst-Hornepayne corridor,and the other four in one or more coastal communities. Late yesterday afternoon, it and Extendicare Kapuskasing announced the end of the outbreak at the long-term care home.  It has been two weeks since any resident or staff member tested positive for the coronavirus.  The outbreak was declared January 6th and saw the deaths of 15 residents.
