The provincial government is investing over $865,000 into area long-term care homes.
Member of provincial parliament for Northumberland – Peterborough South, David Piccini, made the announcement this afternoon (Feb 3).
This money will be used to increase preventiona nd containment efforts when it comes to COVID-19, and here’s the breakdown of which homes will receive funding:
· Burnbrae Gardens Long Term Care Residence is receiving an additional $35,600, bringing the total prevention and containment support to $359,800
· Extendicare Cobourg is receiving an additional $70,800, bringing the total prevention and containment support to $326,400
· Extendicare Port Hope is receiving an additional $183,600, bringing the total prevention and containment support to $521,800
