The Extended Academic Senate of TU Berlin elected two vice presidents in its session on 24 January 2024. The regular term of office of the second and third vice presidents ends on 31 March 2024. The term of office is two years. Christian Schröder was re-elected for a second term as vice president for education, teacher training, and continuing education (33 votes in favor, 17 votes against, 1 abstention).

Two further vice presidents were elected by the Extended Academic Senate at TU Berlin on 9 February 2022 with substantial majorities. Christian Schröder received 44 votes in favor and 12 against with three ballot papers spoilt. As 2nd vice president, he will take up responsibility for studying and teaching, teacher education, and continuing education. TU professor Dr. Sophia Becker was elected 3rd vice president by 51 votes to 8 with one spoilt ballot paper. Her areas of responsibility will be sustainability, internal communication, and transfer/transdisciplinarity.
Professor Dr. Geraldine Rauch was elected to the office of president at TU Berlin in the first round of voting. She received 31 votes from the Extended Academic Senate. Her four-year term of office begins 1 April 2022. This makes Rauch the first woman to be elected president of Technische Universität Berlin. Ulrike Woggon, physics professor, and Christian Thomsen, current TU president, also stood for election. Woggon received 7 votes and Thomsen 21. Two votes were determined invalid.
