A travel advisory is currently in effect between Rainbow Avalanche Gates and Exstew Gate due to a high avalanche hazard.
The travel advisory is in effect for 84.9km, that’s 21 km east of Prince Rupert to 30 km west of Terrace.
The highway is currently open however, it may close as soon as 6 p.m. today due to the avalanche hazard. Before travelling along this stretch be sure to check DriveBC for any updates on the situation.
