Monday, 12:17, 19/04/2021 VOV.VN - The United States continued to represent the largest buyer of local goods during the first quarter of the year, with total export turnover raking in US$21.2 billion, representing a year-on-year rise of 32.8%, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD). Vietnam enjoys high export turnover of fruit and vegetables during the first quarter of the year (Photo: Baodautu.vn) Moving forward, this strong level of growth is anticipated to continue over the following months, despite the ongoing negative impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Most notably, export turnover of fruit and vegetables, along with aquatic products to the US market throughout the reviewed period stood at US$23.4 million and US$189.15 million, marking rises of 3.7% and 5.4%, respectively, in comparison to the same period from last year.
