JAKARTA, April 17 (Xinhua): Indonesia s trade balance in March recorded a surplus of US$1.57 billion, according to Statistics Indonesia.
According to the agency s head, Kecuk Suhariyanto, the South-East Asian country recorded an export value of US$18.35 billion and import value of US$16.78 billion dollars in March. This figure is better than that in March last year and March 2019, said Suhariyanto.
Indonesia had posted an export value of US$18.35 billion in March, up 20.31 per cent month-to-month and a jump of 30.47 per cent from a year earlier, according to Statistics Indonesia. This is a very encouraging growth of up to double digits due to increasing demands and rising prices for a number of commodities, the agency s head Kecuk Suhariyanto said.
