Include 30 americans among the more than 1400 killed. Israeli Prime Minister netanyahu has invited President Biden to visit israel as Israeli Forces prepare for a Ground Offensive and im joined now by erin burnett live in israel. Were here just after 1 00 in the morning in israel. And it is clear skies behind me. Weve been talking about the forecast for some extremely violent thunderstorms that could impact any possible plans, any kind of heavy rainfall obviously incredibly disruptive when you talk about the terrain in gaza sand along that border where 350,000 or so israeli troops are gathered right now. You mentioned 250 air strikes as we are looking at gaza, the air strikes just today. And they say another hamas Senior Commander was killed in those strikes today. The Idf Spokesperson just joins us saying they killed ten hamas members so far since the beginning of the war and there are many more to come. Welcome to bbc news. Im lukwesa burak. We start with the latest on the israel gaza war. Theres growing diplomatic pressure to find ways to get food and other essential aid into gaza and civilians out in the face of israeli bombardments in retaliation for the attacks by hamas. The group, which is designated as a Terror Organisation by many western governments including the uk, launched the assault on saturday. These are the main developments on day six of the conflict. The United Nations says more than 338,000 people have been forced to flee their homes in gaza, stressing essential food, fuel and water must reach the enclave. The israeli Prime Minister, benjamin netanyahu, has established a National Emergency government with Opposition Leader benny gantz. It comes as israel continues its mass mobilisation of troops. Hundreds of thousands are on the southern border with gaza. President biden says hes told mr netanyahu that israel must abide by the rules of war in its fight against hamas.

Our reporter Nic Robertson is just over the border from gaza in israel in sderot, and nic, tell us what you are seeing. Yeah, we are seeing a massive barrage of Iron Dome Intercepts in the sky. Here you can make out the tiny puffs of white smoke in the sky, and each one of those puffs is an intercept of an iron dome defensive missile system, and taking down hamas rockets, and you can see over my shoulder there, some of the traces of the rockets themselves that are fired through the sky. It looks as though some of the iron domes were stopping the rockets going to the two big israeli towns along the coast there, ashkelon and ashdot further up the coast there. You can see the missiles coming out from the iron dome and intercepting with the rockets in the sky. So literally in less than one hour from here, there has been Missile Attacks, hamas Missile Attacks on this town, sderot, and Missile Attacks o
