Monday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of South Ohio for a report of a suicidal subject. The suspect was ultimately transported to Bothwell for treatment. Charges of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Firearm Unlawful for Certain Persons, and Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree are being requested through the prosecutor s office. No further information was contained in the report.
Monday afternoon, Officers spoke to subjects at the Police Headquarters in reference to a gun they wished to turn over to the Police Department. The gun was placed into evidence for safe keeping.

City Manager Offer
(Ellsworth) â The next city manager for Ellsworth will likely come from in-house. City Council chair Dale Hamilton tells Star 97.7 that the council discussed things in executive session Monday night and offered the job to current police Chief Glenn Moshier. Hamilton tells Star 97.7 theyâre negotiating a contract and hope to have something in place next week. Moshier has run the city since manager David Cole retired in September. He was not one of the 18-people who applied for the job.
Oak Street Accident
(Ellsworth) – Utility crews had to shut down part of Oak Street in Ellsworth yesterday after a truck brought down a pair of utility poles. The accident broke one pole at the base and snapped the other at its top by Seaport Village. Police and fire crews closed down the road while Versant Power workers replaced both poles. The road was closed for about 4-hours with tra
