TUSCUMBIA â The 20th Annual North Alabama African Heritage Festival takes place June 4- 5 at the Willie Green Recreation Park in Tuscumbia.Â
The festival will have its traditional kick-off on Friday at 5pm with âMusic on the Lawn.â The Come Up Band from Decatur will play followed by the band 4BE (FORBE) from Birmingham.
The official opening of the festival is Saturday at 11am featuring gospel singers and musicians including Donna Carroll, Rev. Chris Neloms, and Rev. Shane Rainer & Family Affair. Local artists will perform other music genres throughout the day. Other performers include the Garner Brothers, Shelly âSaxmanâ Williams, and the Muscle Shoals Twirlers.
Although the pandemic is not over, festivals and events are starting to make their way back across Alabama, bringing entertainment and family fun to Memorial Day weekend and the first weekend of June.
