OTC 2021 announces Spotlight on New Technology® Award recipients 5/7/2021
HOUSTON â The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) has announced the 2021 recipients of the Spotlight on New Technology® Award, which recognizes new, innovative technologies that are advancing and revolutionizing the future of offshore energy. This year, 14 technologies from 13 companies around the world were selected, including five companies receiving small business recognition.
Winners are selected, based on five criteria, including the technologyâs novelty in the marketplace, innovativeness, demonstrated success, broad commercial appeal, and ability to make a significant impact across the offshore industry.

Offshore energy services company Subsea 7, and its subsidiary Xodus Group have received recognition from OTC for Subsea 7 Nano Engineered Sensor Platform (Subsea 7 NESP), and will receive a Spotlight on New Technology Award at this year s Offshore Technology Conference (OTC).
Describing its technology, the company said that Subsea 7 NESP, developed in collaboration with Xodus, is a transformative solution that can continuously monitor fatigue and corrosion offshore, reducing OPEX in these areas. The wireless nano-technology sensor can be deployed efficiently and easily across any operating asset. Subsea 7 NESP, which requires no power supply or batteries, offers a scalable, cost effective, zero maintenance solution to extend asset life and improve uptime, Subsea 7 said.

Sydney-listed BPH Energy has received the environmental review report for the Baleen gas exploration well in PEP11 off the coast of New South Wales, it said on April 16.
Advent Energy is the operator of the permit through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Asset Energy, in a joint venture with Bounty Oil & Gas. BPH holds a passive interest in unlisted Advent.
