the failed policies of rogue prosecutors and judges are placing our officers in greater danger. this lawlessness must stop. brian: since last thursday 12 officers have been shot in the line of duty 15 police officers have been killed so far this year and a line of duty and it s still october. sergeant john karpinski from connecticut police was here to put in perspective what s going on. the main function in problem we have right now is these politicians have stripped us of the most important tool a police officer has. it is not on his belt. with respect. when respect is taken away, the public do whatever they want to do and now we are seeing the results in exit interviews because everyone is quitting and leaving. the exit interviews, 82% of people said the reason we are leaving as we don t feel we have the support of our administration and/or our city
resignations up 18%. i think cops are quitting in groves but if you look at exit interviews, couple publications of actually gonna dummy public records request and have looked through it cops are saying as they leave. the fundamental issue is they feel a fundamental lack of support for they have a difficult job produced become more difficult in the past couple of years as crime has risen, have fewer officers dealing with more crime. and they feel like if they do their jobs they re not going to be valued, they re going to be vilified by the press, the public and the political. it s really impossible situation. so a lot of them are giving up their profession. paul: a lot of people would respond and say the so-called great resignation that s not just happening in police departments. it is happening everywhere. are you saying the police themselves are pinpointing actual views, public views by police as the real problem? they would like to do it they re
