Exit-bound Manchester United chief Ed Woodward’s final major decision at the club will be to choose his successor, a report claims.
United announced the executive vice-chairman’s resignation on Tuesday, amid the European Super League chaos. The 49-year-old was likely to leave soon, but brought his departure date forward to the end of 2021. As such, his 16-year association with the Red Devils, which began with helping the Glazer family’s takeover, will end.
Nevertheless, he still wields considerable power at Old Trafford and will do so before he leaves for good.
