UFW Foundation Executive Director Diana Tellefson Torres and United Farm Workers President Teresa Romero responded to introduction of the Dream Act legislation providing a pathway to citizenship for nearly two million undocumented immigrants by Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Lindsay Graham (R-SC). “The introduction of the Dream Act today is an important step towards justice,” said UFW Foundation Executive Director Diana Tellefson Torres. “It is urgent that Congress pass the Dream Act and act quickly to enact meaningful immigration reform that legalizes farm workers, TPS holders and millions of undocumented immigrants who are the foundation of our vibrant communities and robust economies.”
