Gov. Dan McKee on Wednesday rolled out what his administration said are key budget initiatives to address climate change in Rhode Island. He said the budget is “fiscally responsible,” with no broad-based tax increases. Still, he said, it will propose “long-term investments” to help strengthen the economy. “Today, I am excited to share that the budget I’ll propose to the General Assembly tomorrow will include more than $150 million to tackle climate change,” McKee said at a news conference.
