Jeremy Clarkson has given his opinion on the backlash to This Morning star Phillip Schofield s affair with a younger colleague, describing it as a witch-hunt and claiming it is unlikely bosses at ITV knew about the romance.
The network released a statement this morning confirming that the star and his colleague were quizzed by bosses when rumours of a relationship first began to circulate in early 2020.
DAN WOOTTON: An ITV spokeswoman ended up dismissing my 2019 story, saying: It s deeply disappointing and unfair for Phillip to be the target of this sort of malicious gossip.
