would say the republicans came to them and said in 2010, support us and they got the house of representatives. republican leaders came to them in 2014 and said support us and they got control of the senate yet the iran deal goes through. can you understand why those voters would be fed up? absolutely. never fed up on two things. iran is partly everyone s fault because it should be a create and they put in place the corker and carden framework and it would be approved without being aafternoon buyer house. that was a mistake. mistake by who? by the senate as an institutional body, democrats and arepublicans alike . wait wait, wait, it is an executive agreement and that is how it was negotiated leaving congress with no voice of any kind and no voice so there is no two thirds requirement for executive agreement so apart
and we are back now with the panel. we ask you for questions for the panel. and we have got this from karen margrieve on facebook. she writes, the gop coward on preventing the deal with iran. does anyone think they will actually defund planned parent hood? the gop is a total disappointment. how do you answer? i think she speaks for a legions of republicans. i think she s wrong they occurred on iran. widespread belief that actually if they wanted to, they could have made this executive agreement into a treaty. the idea that defunding planned parenthood against the wishes of a sitting president might be against any vetoes he might cast, leads to a government shutdown, the path to victory is crazy.
would say the republicans came to them and said in 2010 support us they got the house, republican leaders came to them in 2014, support us and got control of the senate and yet, the iran deal goes through. can understand why those voters would be fed up? absolutely. they are fed up two things, iran is partly everyone s fault, because it should be a treaty they put in place the framework, it was going to be treated as not a treaty, it was going to be approved without being approved by either house. that was a mistake. a mistake by who? the senate itself as an institutional body. democrats and republicans alike forfeited their constitution wait, wait, how, suppose is an executive agreement, how we negotiated it, which leaves congress with no voice of any kind and no vote of any kind. no two-thirds requirement apart
disapprove the deal which will pass. so it gives some emphasis to the republicans at least to be able to go home and say look we tried everything we knew how to block the deal. and the president was able to put night effect as an executive agreement, which the next president might cancel. and that s i think at this point about the best they can hope for. it s politically dangerous for the democrats because the deal is unpopular. but it s also politically dangerous for the republicans because they couldn t stop it. all right. brit as always thank you. up next, hillary clinton continues to joke about her problems, but democratic voters are not laughing. first here s what some of our fox affiliates around the country are covering tonight. fox 45 in baltimore where the judge in the case of six police officers charged in the death of a man in police custody is refusing to move the proceedings out of the city. defense attorney cited the city s $6.4 million settlement with the family of f
nuclear program. frankly, i amit, the bet part of the whole package. i can fill the rest of our air time complaining about parts of it, but there is some goodness in there. what i m really worried about is the nuclear portfolio at 10-plus. essentially we ve given the iranians a work program to get where it is they want to be. which is, a nuclear state always on the threshold of a nuclear weapon, and then the other bass account i worry about are the immediate non-nuclear effects of this deal s so i wrote what we need to do is, yes, but, or no unless, in terms of looking at the deal. take a lot of steps now to push back against the iranians in non-nuclear ways in the middle east, and then, frankly, i think we really need to take a second look at what it is we think we ve agreed to by executive agreement, not treaty, in 8, 10 and 15 years when the real limits come off the iranian
