Back in June, Killer Mike released MICHAEL, the long awaited follow-up to R.A.P. Music, which was his career-making 2012 solo album, and the collaboration that led to Run the Jewels, his now decade-long, four-album (and counting) acclaimed collaboration with El-P.
Well, this is a wild one. Long thought lost, the tapes of these 1961 performances at the Village Gate (now Le Poisson Rouge) in New York were recently discovered in the New York Public Library archives after sitting on the shelves for 50 years.
