for the united states, frankly, it would be a good thing. but i m not looking to do that. i m not looking to play that game. so we ll either have nafta or we ll have two deals. a sunset quality? you have two sunsets, they ve been very heavily negotiated. you have two concepts of sunset. we re pretty close on the sunset division. okay? we have one that s five years. you know it very well. you studied this very well. congratulations. that s right. you have one group that likes to have five years and then a renegotiation at the end of five years. and you have another group that wants longer because of the investments. but we re pretty close. yes, sir? with politico, just to go back to russia, the something that happened that got them kicked out of the g8 is the invasion and an ex-ation of crimea.
some strained relations over trade. the president starts it out in a meeting designed to bring people together by kicking out russia over crimea. when asked by a reporter he said something happened. not mentioning, until our cnn colleague pointed out to him it was the russian an ex-ation of cri crimea. then said i don t blame my g7 counterparts. i blame the problems of trade on my own predecessors. it s not stunning but really stark. what about that? the something happened a while ago means that russia is not part of the g8, now the g7. why would the president frame it that way? what s your reaction to that? he went on to address that later. he obviously knows about the invasion of crimea. he went on to address it
