(WFIE) - The Kentucky Wesleyan College softball team split a Sunday series with Hillsdale College. The Panthers lost the opener 12-3 but rallied to win the second game 5-2 at Foster Field. GAME 1: Hillsdale 12, KWC 3 The Chargers (23-13, 11-3 GMAC) opened the game with two runs in the top for the first to take an early lead. Hillsdale scored six more in the fourth on four hits and two errors to build an 8-0 lead. The Panthers (10-17, 4-8 GMAC) answered in the bottom half of the inning with two runs. Mikayla Benson and Lacie Mills each drove-in a run with RBI singles.

(WFIE) - The Kentucky Wesleyan softball team looked to take two from the Thorobreds of Kentucky State in a double header on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers took the opening game 6-0. In game two the Panthers took the daily sweep with an 11-1 victory. GAME 1: KWC 6, KSU 0 The Thorobreds (0-9) looked to get their first win of the season. Kentucky State looked to get on the board in the first inning as they had a runner on, but they were unable to take advantage. Sophomore outfielder Meryck Hardley leadoff the game with a single, two stolen bases, and a pass ball later she would score to give the Panthers the lead.

(Source: WFIE) By Aaron Hancock | April 10, 2021 at 9:23 PM CDT - Updated April 10 at 9:23 PM FINDLAY, OH. (WFIE) - The Kentucky Wesleyan College softball team lost twice to Findlay on Saturday. With rain showers in the forecast the game was moved up to 9 AM CT.  The Panthers lost a pitching dual to start the day 2-0 and made a furious seventh inning rally in the finale only to fall 6-5.  Game 1: KWC 0, UF2 Evyn Hendrickson completed another strong pitching performance on Saturday. Before Hendrickson could settle in the Oilers (16-13, 7-5 GMAC) manufactured a run in the bottom of the first inning. The Panthers (7-14, 3-5 GMAC) placed two runners on in the top of third with two-outs, but could not come away with a timely hit.
