NEW DELHI: EVMs have emerged trustworthy despite eight rounds of scrutiny by Supreme Court in the last decade as doubting Thomases have failed to prov.
The Supreme Court has requested clarification from the Election Commission of India regarding the 100% verification of EVM votes with VVPAT slips. The court has asked an officer from the Election Commission to appear before it and address certain queries at 2 pm today. Last week, the court reserved its verdict on a set of PILs related to this matter, cautioning against unfounded suspicions regarding EVMs.
