Dunkin Donuts is (obviously) known for their sugary and delicious donuts, and in the past few years, their incredible coffee. But in a move to attract even more customers, Dunkin recently got in on a trend that s been popular for a few years now: avocado toast! This snack item, which is served all day, costs $3 and is now available nationwide. But is it worth it? Compared to other, restaurant-level avocado toasts, Dunkin s looks pretty plain, so I tried it to decide once and for all if it s worth the hype.
The sign on the Dunkin shop near my apartment screamed out Avocado Toast, and I couldn t have been more excited. This tiny little cheerful oasis next to the subway station on 77th and Lexington is nearby my normal commute, but for years, ever since eating plant-based, I ve had to steel myself to pass by, undeterred by the temptation of the donuts, everything bagels, and muffins that lay on the racks inside. None of them were plant-based unless I brought my own Tofutti plant-based cream cheese and smeared it on a bagel, or had it dry. But now, with Dunkin adding avocado toast to its menu, there was finally something for me.

Dunkin has rolled out it s spring menu today, and added the popular item to its updated offerings. Dunkin s Avocado Toast will come in a special portable box and costs $2.99. For some extra flavor, the avocado is topped with Everything Bagel Seasoning too!
