pass? i heard it yesterday but i don t know the deals. bret: does the administration have a vetting issue? you would have to issue them. we need a new defense secretary. we are have a conflict with iran and going into budget negotiations with the congress. we need leadership at the department of defense. i like president trump s policy. bret: he was approved in your committee? yes, i think there say pathway border. let s use it. bret: you heard the story about joe biden talking about his time in the senate. if you want to give me a list of why i can t deal with you because i disagree with you, i could make a long list for everybody running for president on the democratic side. if that becomes the norm, we can t work with somebody because
we will monitor this joy reed is there asking him a question. we do want to talk about some of the other big ideas that a lot of the candidates have been putting forward. we are now nine days away from that first debate. that will be their first opportunity to set themselves apart from each other. everybody running wants to beat donald trump everybody running wants some version of better healthcare than we got, a cleaner climate, they re trying to be specific. they re all trying to figure out what is a top issue for voters? climate scientists have been warning, rising oceans, extreme temperatures, worsening natural disasters are going to impact humans in a catastrophic way, much southeastern than we think. the world meteorological organization released a statement based on the state of global climate back in 2018, showing record see levels rising exceptionally high land and ocean temperatures, over the last four years and rising greenhouse gas concentration levels. all that sounds
parties. you make a good point. it s so the same amount of parties as when we started with 1 million people. now there s 350 million people. if you don t march in lockstep with one of those two parties, you re a centrist which is a bad word. centrist is the new extremist. that s a good point. i hear it all the time that the two-party system isn t working because people are cobbling together their own platform. i like a little bit from here, a little bit from here. but no party reflects that. no, exactly. social media, i feel like the extreme influences where everybody running for president or being president is like you have to go along with the most extreme, most vitriolic, most aggressive part of your party. social media makes them the ones that stand out. you call yourself a centrist. yes. what s your platform? when you run for president. what s my platform? on what issue? there s a million issues.
