Fans of Montreal s storied post-rock scene have plenty to be excited about these days. Not only do Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Fly Pan Am have new albums on the way, but rising stars Yoo Doo Right have just announced their debut full-length album.
Don t Think You Can Escape Your Purpose is set for release on May 21 via Mothland.
The trio infuse each of the album s lengthy, shapeshifting tracks with swirls of psychedelia, krautrock and shoegaze for mesmerizing, riff-laden sojourns that recall Montreal s legendary post-rockers while also infusing their sound with a fresh, adventurous energy.
