Every Independence Day, our celebrations, quite rightly, focus on commemorating the freedom won in 1947 by Indians to take control of administering and governing fellow Indians after a long spell of non-consensual outsourced rule. But after 76 years of being the masters of our own destiny, we should supplement our thankfulness measured in national pride by celebrating another core aspect of Independence Day - the very idea of freedom.
