BIBIBOP Asian Grill opening restaurant in Belden Village area in 2021

JACKSON TWP – The peculiar name – BIBIBOP – stood out when I spotted it on a roadside sign this past winter on a ski trip to Mad River Mountain. It was an advertisement for an Asian eatery on a sign crowded with the names of other restaurants in the heavily developed Columbus area. At the urging of my teenage daughter and college-age niece, we tried BIBIBOP Asian Grill. We loved it so much that it s now a required stop on trips to Mad River. The Korean-inspired food was aromatic and deeply flavored, servings were generous, prices were affordable, options were abundant and the overall experience was unique in the restaurant scene.

Jackson Township Police are patrolling the Tam O Shanter area

JACKSON TWP.  Police say reports of an escaped mountain lion in the area are a hoax. Investigators located the person said to be looking for the lost animal and learned he doesn t even own one. Police Chief Mark Brink said the man claimed his cellphone was stolen in December and someone must have hacked it. He does not own a big cat and doesn t even live in Stark County. Township police started investigating the report of an escaped mountain lion when multiple concerned citizens saw posts on at least two social media platforms and contacted the police station. The original post claimed a man s mountain lion had escaped in the area of Hills & Dales, and that the animal wouldn t bite. The post contained the alleged owner s cellphone number for people to call if they spotted the cat.
