The city of Wichita is asking residents, especially people living in the North End area of the city, to submit recommendations for the name of a new community center that is under construction.
The community center is being built at the Evergreen Branch Library at 2601 North Arkansas, and it will combine the library with the Evergreen Neighborhood Resource Center, the group Empower Evergreen and several other community organizations.
Library spokesman Sean Jones said name ideas can be submitted to the web site www.wichita.gov/Council/Pages/EvergreenNaming.aspx The deadline for submitting the ideas will be June 4th. The Library Board of Directors will come up with five names, and the public will be able to rank their preferred choices. The board will talk about the top options in August, and recommendations will be presented to
