Wolf earns berth to wrestling Semistate
Switzerland County wrestler Jacob Wolf participated in last Saturday’s IHSAA Wrestling Regional held at Jeffersonville High School and his fourth place overall finish earned him the right to move on to this Saturday’s Semistate, which is being held at Jasper High School.
Wolf wrestled in the 132-pound weight class, and in his first match of the day he defeated Cole Bagshaw of Silver Creek High School in a 5-0 decision.
That moved Wolf into the semifinals, where he faced Jeramiah Cain of Jeffersonville, and lost in a close 5-4 decision.
Wolf then completed his Regional by wrestling for third place against Jakob Lewellen of Charlestown, but an injury did not allow Wolf to compete, and he was forced to forfeit that final match, and finished fourth overall in his weight class.

BEDFORD – Anyone who has walked through the hallway where the state championship team photos adorn the walls, anyone who has stared up at the banners waving softly in the northeast corner of BNL Fieldhouse, knows the impact of Austin “Pete” Pritchett.
He’s the Godfather of Bedford North Lawrence basketball, the Hall of Fame coach, the giant gentleman who directed the Stars to two state championships and established the program as one of Indiana’s best. Everything linked to the tradition of BNL centers on the bear of a man who towered over his kids and demanded their best.
