Evanston Now
And extremely cold weather will follow the snow.
The National Weather Service and Evanston city officials say we can expect another snow storm to arrive in Evanston Thursday afternoon.
Wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour are expected with the storm causing blowing snow that may continue through Friday morning.
Edgar Cano of the city’s Public Works Agency says we’re expected to get 3 to 3.5 inches of snow from the storm, with the heaviest snowfall occurring during the afternoon rush hour Thursday.
Temperatures are expected to drop to 10 degrees by Friday afternoon and stay in that range for several days. Wind chill values, the weather service says, could reach 25 degrees below zero, especially on Sunday through Monday morning.
