Former Chairman of the Player Status Committee of the Ghana Football Association, Kofi Manu has advised Asante Kotoko to forget about the case they have lost against four former players at the GFA.
The Porcupine Warriors on Monday, January 25, 2021, was ordered by the Player Status Committee to pay GHS198,000 to ex-players Abass Mohammed, Mathew Kelvin Andoh, Stephen Tetteh Aryiku, and Evans Owusu.
The said players had earlier dragged the team before the committee for unlawful termination of their contracts without compensation.
In a subsequent letter from Asante Kotoko to the GFA, they have made it clear that they want to appeal the judgment from the committee.

Head of Player Relations at the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana(PFAG), Yusif Chibasah, has said that they are happy with the verdict of the Ghana Football Association Players Status Committee after petitioning them over unfair treatments metted out to some players by Asante Kotoko.
Management of Asante Kotoko unilaterally terminated the contracts of four players namely Abass Mohammed, Evans Owusu, Samuel Tetteh Ayiku, and Matthew Kelvin Andoh before the start of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League.
The aforementioned players petitioned the GFA through the PFAG after several attempts to bring the hierarchy of Asante Kotoko to the discussion table had failed.
The Players’ Status Committee (PSC) of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has pronounced decisions on four cases concerning Asante Kotoko SC and four of its former players, the Ghana Football Association have announced on their official website. In separate petitions, Abass Mohammed, Mathew Kelvin Andoh and Stephen Tetteh Aryiku and Evans Owusu, all petitioned the PSC on the Club’s unilateral termination of their contracts. They, therefore, sought for the PSC to rule on the payment of their outstanding salaries and signing-on fees.
With the players demanding payment of their outstanding salaries and signing-on fees, the PSC has ordered Kotoko to pay a combined compensation of GH¢197,800 (27,973.31 Euro) within 14 days, in addition to the transfer ban.

Chief Executive Officer of Club Consult Africa, Yussif Chibsah, has said that his agency will accept out of court settlement from Asante Kotoko on the entitlements owed former player Abass Mohammed.
Club Africa Consult petitioned the Ghana Football Association Player Status Committee through the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) over Asante Kotoko‘s decision to terminate the contract of four players unilaterally.
The four players Abass Mohammed, Evans Owusu, Samuel Tetteh Ayiku, and Matthew Kelvin Andoh had their contracts terminated by the club.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based Pure FM after the verdict from the GFA, Chibsah said that he can convince the players under his management to accept half payment proposed terms which were rejected by Asante Kotoko.
