Strong start leads Blair Oaks past Southern Boone

The Blair Oaks offense came to life and Wil Libbert bounced back from his second career loss. Those two things added up to a perfect opportunity for the Falcons to get their long-awaited first win of the season, and it came against the defending state champions. Blair Oaks sent 11 batters to the plate in the top of the first inning, Libbert struck out 11 batters and the Falcons knocked off the Southern Boone Eagles for an 8-2 victory Tuesday night in Tri-County Conference play at Southern Boone High School.

We’ve been hitting in a cage inside.”

Following the timeout, the Falcons outscored the Pintos 41-10 the rest of the first half, dominating their way to a 59-30 victory in a Tri-County Conference matchup at Blair Oaks High School.

Free throw after technical sends Miller Career past Blair Oaks boys

Blair Oaks coach Ryan Fick wasted no time in taking the blame for the Falcons’ loss Friday night. A technical foul was called on the Blair Oaks bench with :00.2 on the clock, and the Miller Career Phoenix sent Charles Nelson to the free-throw line with a chance to win the game. Nelson missed the first free throw, but the second attempt made its way through the net to give Miller Career a 59-58 victory at Blair Oaks High School.
