ETSU’s men’s and women’s track and field teams traveled to Knoxville, Tennessee, on April 8 and April 9 to compete in the Tennessee Relays.
Due to weather conditions, day three of the race was moved up to April 9 following the day two events.
Starting off with the women, freshman Lindsay Cooper (Charlotte, North Carolina) ran the women’s 100m hurdles with a new personal-best time of 14.15s in the second meet of her college career.
The women’s 800m broke two athletes’ personal records. Junior Jessica Lord (Morristown, Tennessee) finished with a time of 2:10.32, placing her at seventh by just a second’s difference behind the top five. Sophomore Julia Karsten (Old Hickory, Tennessee) came in at 2:14.92.
