In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Ola Awoniyi, Lawan said the attackers aimed to distract the Imo State government as well as the Federal Government.
The statement said the Senate President made the remarks on Friday at the capital city of Owerri where he commissioned a road project which was completed by the administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma.
