drilling grilling the officer about a suspect earlier this week. a white supremacist gang member under arrest in colorado last month s shocking murder of the head of that state s department of corrections. police say is he is a member of the same gang as the now dead prime suspect. as you know, investigators say a gunman murdered tom clements as he answered the front door of his home. two days later. police in texas killed an ex-con named evan ebil in a shootout after a high speed chase near dallas. bullet casings found at that scene reportedly matched those found near the body of tom clements. early this morning sheriff s report they arrested man who they say was in constant contact with ebil in days before the murder of the prison s chief. if you look closely the tattoos on his eyebrows read hard luck. they busted him just a few miles from tom clements home but they are still searching for one other person of interest who is also in the same gang and is believed to be armed and dange
coffman, texas tonight. just into fox news word that the suspect once wrote that he fantasized about killing prison staff. the associated press is reporting in the last few minutes that evan ebil wrote that in a letter in 2006. seven years later he apparently made his twisted fantasy a reality by shooting the prison chief. we also reported ebil was supposed to be behind bars. i mentioned that at the top of the newscast. the details are crushing for the victims families. colorado s department of corrections now admits it released evan ebil years ahead of schedule because of a paperwork error. in essence the clerk wrongly presumed his sentences were supposed to run at the same time instead of back to back. two months after ebil went free he died following a high speed chase and shootout with police. investigators connected the gun that ebil was carrying to the murder of the prison boss tom clements. and they say ebil is also linked to the killing of an ibm staff who had been working a s
