The new exhibit upstairs at Boothbay Region Art Foundation features color images Eva McDermott captured on Lofoten Island, Norway and Isle of Skye, Scotland – digitally and with film. McDermott was hanging the show on Saturday, April 3, so knowing where she was, I had to stop in.

PLAISTOW â After a couple of months of displaying home-grown art created by library staff and their families, they re back to letting the professionals decorate the walls of Plaistow Public Library. Therefore, Lofoten Islands, Norway: A Photographic Journeyâ by Eva McDermott of Atkinson, a collection of nineteen framed photos is now on display.
This exhibit consists of dramatic color landscape images featuring Lofoten Island in Norway, captured both on film and digitally. Having grown up in the urban landscape, I longed to spend more time in less crowded, natural spaces. I love photographing the Maine Coast, our National Parks, and other amazing places around the world.
