Cleveland State Launches Short-Term Courses Friday, December 11, 2020 Online, on-campus and hybrid courses are available throughout the year at Cleveland State Community College. The new short-term course offerings will take half as long to complete and earn full college credit. Cleveland State Community College is taking a new approach at helping students fit education into their schedules. The Tennessee Board of Regents institution has launched short-term courses beginning Spring 2021. “This is a strategic initiative that will allow more students of all ages to take more classes in a shorter period of time,” said Dr. Bill Seymour, president of Cleveland State Community College. “We’ve had a goal to grow short-term classes at Cleveland State. In cooperation with Academic Affairs, as well as the faculty and staff of the college, we’ve made that happen for 2021.

Cleveland Middle School Beta Club Qualifies For Nationals During Virtual Leadership Summit Thursday, December 10, 2020 National Beta members from Cleveland Middle School National Beta members from Cleveland Middle School National Beta members from Cleveland Middle School are celebrating their participation in the Tennessee Virtual Leadership Summit. They were announced as qualifiers in all four of the following challenges: Rapid Response, Service Snapshot, Lead Outside the Box, and Eva Lipscomb was selected as one of the three Leadership Representatives. Seventh and eighth grade BETA Club officers and members had the option to attend the Leadership Summit virtually for their first time due to COVID.  Students were broken into three challenge teams to complete in Rapid Response (engineering), Service Snapshot (community service project), and Lead Outside the Box (create a digital tool kit for parents to navigate a viral world).  The students worked with faculty sponsors:
