(Latvijas Radio korespondente) Health Ministry has reached an agreement with 504 general practitioners about involvement in the vaccination process in order to allow seniors to start getting their jabs next week or even this week, Health Minister Daniels Pavļuts said February 17.
Vaccination Bureau chair Eva Juhņēviča said that a list of GPs who are ready to be involved in vaccination would be published on the National Health Service (NVD) website as soon as it is ready. We are preparing to begin vaccination of seniors over 70 years of age next week with the help of GPs. It is a big step forward. I want to thank all 504 GPs who have expressed their readiness to vaccinate these residents, said Health Minister Pavļuts.
